Riyadh is preparing to host one of the region’s major blockchain gatherings this summer as the Global Blockchain Show arrives in the Saudi capital on June 29–30, 2026. The event is expected to bring together leading figures from the blockchain, Web3, and digital assets sectors as the Kingdom continues to position itself as a growing hub for emerging technologies.

Organized by VAP Group with support from The Times of Blockchain, the conference will feature more than 100 speakers and is expected to attract over 10,000 attendees alongside around 100 exhibitors. Participants will include founders, investors, policymakers, and developers involved in the global blockchain ecosystem.

The Riyadh edition follows a previous Global Blockchain Show held in Abu Dhabi in December 2025, which organizers say attracted a large international delegation of investors, entrepreneurs, and technology leaders working across blockchain and Web3 innovation.

According to the organizers, the upcoming event will focus on the intersection of blockchain investment, enterprise adoption, and ecosystem development. Discussions are expected to cover how digital asset infrastructure is evolving alongside broader technological trends such as artificial intelligence and gaming.

Several industry figures have already been confirmed as speakers for the event. These include Abeer Alhumaimeedy, Associate Professor at King Saud University and Director of the Web3 and Blockchain Lab at the university; Sultan Moraished, Chief Technology Officer at Red Sea Global; Ogle, co-founder of Glue; Vit Jedlicka, President of Liberland; and Billal Yamak, Chairman and Co-Founder of the Web3 Alliance of Saudi Arabia.

The conference program is expected to address a wide range of topics linked to the expansion of blockchain technology and digital assets, particularly in emerging markets. Organizers say the event will also focus on building connections between startups and investors, including venture capital firms and sovereign-backed funds exploring new digital infrastructure.

One feature of the conference will be a dedicated venture capital matchmaking program designed to connect blockchain startups with investors looking to support new platforms and digital asset applications.

The event will also be co-located with the Global AI Show and the Global Games Show, allowing attendees to access all three conferences under a single ticket. Organizers say the structure is intended to encourage collaboration between industries where technologies such as blockchain, artificial intelligence, and gaming are increasingly overlapping.

Saudi Arabia has been investing heavily in technology development as part of its Vision 2030 strategy, which aims to diversify the country’s economy beyond oil and build new digital industries. The growth of blockchain startups and digital asset innovation across the Middle East has contributed to a rising number of conferences and industry gatherings in the region.

Vishal Parmar, Founder and CEO of VAP Group, said the speaker lineup reflects the growing scale of the blockchain sector and its evolving role in the global technology landscape.

“This event is more than a conference; it’s the global intersection of vision, capital, and innovation for Web3,” Parmar said. “Our speaker lineup reflects the calibre of thinking that will propel the digital-asset ecosystem forward.”

As governments, financial institutions, and technology companies continue exploring blockchain infrastructure, events like the Global Blockchain Show highlight how the technology is moving beyond early experimentation toward broader commercial and institutional adoption.

The Riyadh conference is expected to bring together stakeholders from across the digital economy, including developers building new blockchain protocols, investors funding Web3 startups, and enterprises exploring blockchain-based solutions.

With participation from policymakers, industry leaders, and technology innovators, the event aims to create a platform for discussions about the next phase of blockchain development and the role of digital assets in the future global economy.
