Dubai Chambers has signed a memorandum of understanding with e-commerce platform Trendyol aimed at helping small and medium-sized businesses establish and expand their online sales operations. The agreement combines Dubai Chambers’ local business network with Trendyol’s marketplace infrastructure and seller-support services.

The arrangement is directed specifically at SMEs referred to Trendyol by Dubai Chambers. Participating businesses will be offered a 40% reduction in Trendyol’s introductory commission rate during their first three months on the platform. Dubai Chambers said this compares with the standard introductory offer of a 20% discount lasting two months.

Additional support will include advertising credits, placement on Trendyol’s homepage, visibility during sales campaigns and priority account management. Sellers will also be offered assistance with onboarding tasks such as uploading products.

Training Forms Part of the Package

Training is another component of the agreement. The program will cover product listings, inventory management, pricing and day-to-day e-commerce operations. Advanced sessions will address digital advertising, promotional tools and performance analysis, alongside live webinars where participating sellers can seek guidance from platform specialists.

Materials will be hosted on a dedicated page within Trendyol Academy, the platform’s learning hub for sellers. The centralized format will give participating SMEs one place to access the program’s operational guidance, advanced modules and live webinars as they develop their online stores.

Khalid AlJarwan, executive vice president of commercial and corporate services at Dubai Chambers, said: “Supporting the growth and competitiveness of Dubai’s SMEs remains a key priority for Dubai Chambers. Our partnership with Trendyol will help businesses expand their presence across e-commerce channels, strengthen their digital capabilities, and access new opportunities for growth. By connecting SMEs with specialised platforms, practical training, and tailored support, we are continuing to enhance an enabling business environment that helps companies of all sizes scale and succeed.”

Trendyol Extends Its UAE Seller Network

Founded in Istanbul in 2010, Trendyol operates online marketplaces across Türkiye, the Gulf region and several European markets. The company says it connects more than 250,000 sellers and brands with over 40 million customers through local-language platforms.

Trendyol entered the UAE market in 2023 and has since onboarded more than 15,500 sellers from across the region. The new agreement is expected to add more Dubai-based merchants to that network.

Mohamad ElAnsari, CEO of Trendyol Gulf, said: “With more people turning to e-commerce, SMEs who are set up to sell digitally are well positioned to reach even more customers than ever before. We see Trendyol as being a commerce enabler, a platform that gives businesses the infrastructure, insights, visibility and scale to grow and build something truly lasting. This partnership with Dubai Chambers is a sign of our commitment to standing by businesses at the moment it matters most.”

Supporting the Shift to Online Commerce

The partnership brings Dubai Chambers’ business network and Trendyol’s seller infrastructure into a coordinated program for local SMEs. Referred companies will be connected with the platform while receiving support designed around the practical demands of establishing an online store.

Commission discounts and advertising credits address some of the initial commercial costs, while account management and product-upload assistance focus on setting up operations. Training adds guidance on the tasks sellers will need to handle as they begin trading through the platform.

These measures provide participating businesses with a structured entry point into e-commerce and potential access to customers beyond their existing sales channels. The initiative also reflects Dubai Chambers’ broader focus on supporting the digital development of the emirate’s SME sector.
