Dubai’s DMCC has launched DMCC Cyber, a dedicated cybersecurity vertical designed to support companies working across cyber resilience, digital trust, data protection, identity, and governance, risk and compliance.
The new vertical sits inside the newly formalized DMCC Tech, an umbrella platform that brings together more than 4,000 technology companies operating from the business district.
DMCC said the rollout reflects the growing maturity of its technology base, which has become the largest and fastest-growing sector within its district. The platform now includes DMCC Cyber alongside the DMCC AI Centre, DMCC Crypto Centre, and DMCC Gaming Centre, with DMCC Quantum expected to follow.
Cybersecurity Takes a More Central Role
Cybersecurity is becoming a more central requirement for digital businesses as companies rely more heavily on cloud systems, data platforms, digital payments, and connected infrastructure.
DMCC Cyber is home to more than 200 cybersecurity companies. The vertical is intended to give firms in the sector a more focused commercial environment while connecting them with DMCC’s wider member base of more than 26,000 companies.
The launch also fits into the UAE’s broader digital security agenda. The UAE government’s National Cybersecurity Strategy aims to build a secure and resilient cyber infrastructure, while Dubai’s D33 economic agenda seeks to strengthen the emirate’s position as a global business and innovation hub.
DMCC Expands Its Emerging Tech Focus
The formalization of DMCC Tech gives the district a clearer structure for its technology-focused communities. Rather than treating artificial intelligence, crypto, gaming, cybersecurity, and future verticals as separate initiatives, DMCC is placing them under one broader platform.
Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, DMCC, said: “Technology has become the largest and fastest-growing sector in our business district, reflecting Dubai's position as one of the world's leading destinations for innovation and high-growth businesses. As that community has expanded, so too has the need for more specialised platforms that support different segments of the technology economy. DMCC Tech brings these communities together under a single ecosystem, while DMCC Cyber reflects the growing importance of cybersecurity in an increasingly digital world. Together, they strengthen our ability to help technology companies establish, connect and scale internationally from Dubai, with direct access to one of the world's most dynamic business communities.”
The development follows DMCC’s April update, when it said its technology community had surpassed 4,000 companies and had become the largest sector in the district. DMCC also reported that its total membership had exceeded 26,000 companies after adding more than 2,300 new companies in 2025.
Dubai’s Tech Market Gets a New Cyber Focus
The new structure gives cybersecurity companies a more visible place inside one of Dubai’s largest business districts at a time when digital risk is becoming a board-level issue for companies across finance, trade, logistics, commodities, and emerging technology.
It may also help DMCC deepen its role as a clustering platform, where companies are not only registered in the same district but are also grouped into sector-specific communities. That model has already been used across DMCC’s crypto, AI, and gaming initiatives.
The launch of DMCC Cyber does not represent a regulatory change. It is better understood as an ecosystem-building move: a way to organize cybersecurity companies, increase sector visibility, and connect them with adjacent technology and trade-focused businesses already operating from DMCC.
