Dubai Duty Free has introduced Crypto.com Pay at its stores in Dubai International and Al Maktoum International airports and through its online platform, enabling eligible UAE residents to authorize purchases using their Crypto.com accounts while the retailer receives settlement in UAE dirhams rather than cryptocurrency. Launched after a July 2025 memorandum of understanding, the service operates through Crypto.com’s UAE-regulated payment infrastructure and is described by the companies as the first regulated crypto-linked payment option offered by an airport retailer in the Middle East, a regional-first.
