Pop sensation Justin Bieber entered the non-fungible token (NFT) industry in 2021 and has since accumulated substantial cryptocurrency holdings. Justin Bieber’s entry into the crypto industry has a great impact on investors as well as the general public. In this blog, you will find out what comes with it.
Justin Bieber's Crypto Comeback and His Ethereum Earnings

What Actually Happened With Bieber’s Portfolio

An NFT initiative called InBetweeners sent almost $2 million in Ethereum ETH/USD to a wallet associated with Bieber, which he used to purchase high-end collectibles like Mutant Apes and Bored Apes. According to data from Arkham Intelligence, Bieber's wallet is still valuable; as of this writing, it contains about 146.478 Ether, which is worth $353,575 for $2,413.85.

Since Bieber has not updated his Ether stockpile all year, his portfolio was valued at $335,720 on December 31, 2023, when the market price was $2,291.95. As a result, this year, the music phenomenon has made $17,854 in return on Ether, or 5.3%.

Justin Bieber’s Investments Beyond Apes

Bieber had more than just apes in his NFT investments. A variety of additional digital assets, such as a World of Women NFT, two Doodles NFTs, an Otherdeed NFT, and a Metacard NFT, were also part of his initial investment.

With reported losses ranging from 89.7% to 97.4%, the value of these extra assets has also fallen precipitously. One BAYC NFT and one MAYC NFT, which are now only worth about $47,000, are still in his wallet. According to the company's data, Justin Biever still has close to $500,000 in ETH and APE in his wallet.

Why It Is Important

The majority of Bieber's exposure was to the second-largest cryptocurrency, even if his portfolio also contained other tokens including Apecoin APE/USD + Free Alerts. Bieber has not moved any cryptocurrency out of his wallet in more than two years, since he purchased the first Bored Ape in early 2022.

The Canadian music phenomenon was one of the few celebrities with substantial cryptocurrency holdings and a substantial social media following. He is currently behind former U.S. President Donald Trump when it comes to the ownership among celebrities with a following of one million or more.

Justin Bieber's journey into cryptocurrency and NFTs shows the great intersection of pop culture and blockchain technology. While his Ethereum holdings have seen gains, his broader NFT investments, including Bored Apes and other collectibles, have faced great depreciation.

Despite this, Justin Bieber remains a famous figure in the crypto world, showing the potential and unpredictability of digital assets. His involvement, even during market downturns, underscores the changing role of celebrities in shaping public perception of blockchain technology. Bieber’s story is also a reminder of both the opportunities and risks inherent in the world of cryptocurrency and NFTs.
